A woman tried to cross the United States border by curling up inside a suitcase.
The Thai woman was trying to sneak into the country from Mexico and was found in the bag inside a sport-utility vehicle.

A pile of clothes were dumped on top to try and hide the crafty woman, but officers discovered her at a border crossing in Nogales, Arizona.

Edith Serrano, a spokeswoman for U.S. Customs and Border Protection, said: "Rarely do we see something like this. You can imagine the [border] officers' surprise when they came upon this woman crammed inside a suitcase, but there she was."
Clearly she wanted to spend New Year State-side because she was found on December 30 - although the news was only announced this week.

The Honda SUV was being driven by a 56-year-old Phoenix man and both of them were turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, according to Serrano.
