Syrian Electronic Army hacks Microsoft News Twitter account
Syrian Electronic Army has hijacked the official verified Twitter account of Microsoft.
The hack just came after Microsoft xbox Twitter and Instagram account were hacked.
In an apparent hacking of the Microsoft News Twitter account, a tweet has emerged saying the company sells customer data to the government.
According to CNET, the Syrian Electronic Army has claimed responsibility for the attack. On Saturday, the Microsoft News Twitter account offered a curious instruction.
"Don't use Microsoft emails(hotmail, outlook),They are monitoring your accounts and selling the data to the governments. #SEA @Official_SEA16," the message read.
The SEA has operated for some time now, hacking its way into places such as a BBC Twitter account, the report said.
This is the second time this year that the SEA has targeted Microsoft.
On New Year's Day, it attacked Skype's Twitter and Facebook accounts with the same wording as today, the report added.
