Gays need salvation, not condemnation, says T.B. Joshua

Gays and lesbians should not be condemned but should be saved, Nigeria’s pastor, Prophet T.B. Joshua, said on Tuesday in a reply to a question to know his stand.
In giving his stand, T.B. Joshua seemed to be condemning homosexuality but not the homosexuals.
T.B. Joshua made his position known following a question by one of his followers.
“T.B. Joshua, what do you have to say about same sex marriage – I mean, gays and lesbians?,” the follower asked.

T.B. Joshua replied: “Judge not, so that you will not be judged (Matthew 7:1). We should talk to people to be saved and not to die. I mean, we should talk salvation, not condemnation. The Bible is my standard.

“If my parents were one, I would not have been given birth to. Those that are asking this question – if your parents were one, you would not have been given birth to. You that are reading me – if your parents were one, you would not be reading this today. God bless the reader and the hearer.”
Many Nigerian pastors have said homosexuality is a sin and should be condemned. Many have backed the criminalisation of gay relationships.

Since a same sex prohibition law was signed last week by President Goodluck Jonathan, gays have been mobilising for actions against Nigeria.

The leading gay nation on earth, the USA, has already voiced its concern.
